The success of an international assignment often depends on how well a family settles into their new surroundings.
Current research has shown that finding the right school plays a crucial role in determining the success of a relocation, as a child's happiness and welfare are at the heart of every parent's wish list.
The ACS Marketing and Admissions team understands this connection, working closely with relocation professionals to ensure families moving to the UK or to Qatar appreciate all the options affecting their choice of school - including curriculum, school location, transport, and support settling in.
The information in this section provides a resource for relocation professionals - including International HR, Relo agencies, and destination service providers - who want to find out how ACS can complement and enhance the 'international' experience to overseas families. Mobility 2021: what comes next?
On Thursday 28th January, ACS International Schools was delighted to hold the next in our series of events for the Mobility and Relocation sector. This time the theme was a panel discussion on ‘Mobility 2021: what comes next?’
Morgan Crosby from AIRINC and Leanne Harding from Deloitte answered questions on how they have helped their clients and employees during these unprecedented times and what they think the next 12 months hold for the industry. Expat family at ACS Hillingdon, Jennifer McMenamy talked about her experiences relocating as well as some of the challenges that they face as a family both before and during the pandemic.
Questions were posed to the panel from the audience, with topics including:
- How have companies adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic and what will the future of work look like there for both local and expatriate employees?
- How has AIRINC advised its client companies during these unprecedented times?
- In practice – do we think virtual assignments will become more the norm or do we think this is more a means to an end at the moment in the current situation?
- How has ACS managed to continue educating your children from the beginning of the pandemic until today?
- What do you think employers should do to support families like yours today and in the near post-pandemic future?
See the full recording below, and keep an eye out for move events in the coming months.
THE WORLD NEEDS... EVENTS
In a new event series hosted by ACS International Schools, you are invited to delve into the big challenges with us and consider exactly what kind of citizen does the world need to contribute to a better, more sustainable tomorrow?
Open to ACS parents and students, as well as the wider community interested in building a sustainable future, the ‘What the world needs’ series aims to inform and inspire, supporting the young people of today to become the changemakers of tomorrow. In true ACS fashion, contributors from all over the world will be invited to share their experiences and provide an international perspective on what it is we need to get ready.
